Waymap is an app that has solved a significant problem. Do you know those vast places where you want to find a shop or a restaurant but struggle to get there easily and accessibly? Now, one of the most intelligent apps designed to solve this issue is arriving in Brazil. Waymap guides you to your destination — whether underground or inside any large venue. And it does so without relying on an internet connection, offering users the confidence of reaching the right place quickly and independently.

For venues that adopt Waymap, the solution helps to better manage foot traffic, enhance accessibility for people with disabilities, reduce queues, and maintain smooth access, making life easier for visitors to stadiums, shopping centres, metro stations, hospitals, airports and many other high-traffic locations.

In February, Waymap made history by becoming the first proximity-based, underground and indoor navigation app to be deployed across an entire city. Today, Waymap covers 98 train stations, 325 bus routes and over 11,000 stops in Washington, D.C., which has now officially become one of the most accessible cities in the world.

“Ensuring that the United States’ Metro system leads the way globally in accessibility is a priority for all of us at Metro,” said Randy Clarke, CEO of Waymap.

The launch brought together key community leaders from D.C., including Paralympian Trey Jenifer, accessibility advocate Evelyn Valdez, and the company’s founders, Tom Pey and Celso Zuccollo.
